Administrator: Risk Assurance Partners, doing business as Furniture-Rx, referred to as “Furniture-Rx,” “RAP,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”
These Membership Terms explain what the Furniture-Rx Repair Membership includes, how member repair rates work, how service is scheduled and paid for, and what is not included.
Please read these terms before joining. By purchasing, activating, using, or continuing a Furniture-Rx Repair Membership, you agree to these Membership Terms.
1. What the Furniture-Rx Repair Membership Is
The Furniture-Rx Repair Membership is a monthly service-access membership for furniture care, repair coordination, and discounted service rates.
The membership gives you access to Furniture-Rx’s repair coordination team, technician network, member pricing, repair scheduling support, parts assistance, furniture care guidance, and related service benefits.
The membership is designed to help you repair, maintain, assemble, move, touch up, and care for furniture in your home.
2. What the Membership Is Not
The Furniture-Rx Repair Membership is not an insurance policy, not a warranty, not a service contract, and not a protection plan.
The membership does not promise to repair or replace furniture for free. It does not reimburse you for furniture damage. It does not create coverage for stains, rips, burns, mechanical failure, electrical failure, accidents, misuse, wear and tear, or any other loss.
If you purchase a separate Furniture-Rx protection plan, that protection plan will have its own separate terms, limits, exclusions, eligibility rules, and claim process. The membership and any protection plan are separate products.
3. Monthly Membership Fee
The standalone membership price is $19.99 per month, unless a different price is shown to you at checkout or in your account.
Membership fees are billed monthly in advance to your card on file. Your membership renews automatically each month until canceled.
If the membership is included with a Furniture-Rx protection plan or offered as a promotional benefit, the promotional terms shown at checkout or in your plan materials will control the length and scope of the included membership period.
4. What Members Receive
As an active member, you receive access to membership benefits that may include:
- access to Furniture-Rx’s repair coordination team;
- access to Furniture-Rx’s vetted technician network where available;
- discounted member repair rates;
- repair scheduling and coordination;
- assistance sourcing or identifying furniture parts;
- furniture care guidance;
- cleaning, touch-up, repair, assembly, moving, and service coordination;
- dashboard access for service history and membership information;
- priority service handling where available;
- access to member-only offers or care products; and
- help coordinating customer-paid service when a protection plan does not cover the issue or when you do not have a protection plan.
Membership benefits are subject to technician availability, service area, parts availability, provider participation, and the type and condition of the furniture.
5. Discounted Member Rates
Your membership gives you access to discounted member rates for eligible repair and service work.
Member rates may apply to labor, trip charges, diagnostic charges, repair coordination, and other eligible services as shown at booking or in your service estimate.
Discounts may vary by location, service type, technician, partner provider, furniture type, and availability. Unless we specifically say otherwise, discounts do not apply to taxes, government fees, shipping, special-order parts, manufacturer charges, third-party fees, hazardous conditions, or non-standard work.
Furniture-Rx does not promise that member rates will be the lowest rate available in the market. The benefit is access to our managed network, service coordination, and discounted Furniture-Rx member pricing.
6. Customer-Paid Service
The membership does not include free repair service unless a specific free or included benefit is expressly shown in writing.
Most service is customer-paid. This means you are responsible for paying for technician labor, trip charges, diagnostic fees, parts, materials, shipping, taxes, and any other approved charges related to the service.
Before service is performed, we will generally provide a price, estimate, rate schedule, or explanation of expected charges. Some charges may depend on what the technician finds during diagnosis or inspection.
7. Card on File and Auto-Charge Authorization
A valid payment card must remain on file to use the membership and to book service.
By scheduling service, approving a service estimate, authorizing a technician visit, ordering parts, or using a membership service benefit, you authorize Furniture-Rx, RAP, our payment processor, and our service partners, as applicable, to automatically charge your card on file for all approved charges.
Approved charges may include:
- monthly membership fees;
- trip or diagnostic fees;
- labor charges;
- parts and materials;
- shipping or handling;
- special-order items;
- care kits or related products;
- taxes and applicable fees;
- cancellation, missed appointment, or no-access fees if disclosed; and
- any other service charges you approve.
Service cannot be scheduled or continued unless you agree to keep a valid card on file and authorize automatic charges for approved service amounts.
8. All Sales Are Final
All membership fees, service charges, diagnostic fees, trip charges, parts, materials, care kits, special-order items, and other authorized purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or expressly approved by Furniture-Rx in writing.
Canceling your membership stops future monthly membership charges. It does not refund prior membership fees, the current billing period, completed services, scheduled services already performed, approved parts, ordered materials, care kits, or any other authorized charges.
9. Cancellations
You may cancel your membership at any time through your dashboard, by contacting Furniture-Rx support, or through any cancellation method we make available.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current paid monthly billing period. You will continue to have access to membership benefits until the end of that period.
We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months unless required by law.
If you cancel and later rejoin, your new membership will be subject to the pricing, benefits, and terms then in effect.
10. Failed Payments
If your payment fails, we may pause or cancel your membership, suspend access to member rates, delay service, cancel scheduled appointments, or require payment before service continues.
You remain responsible for any unpaid membership fees, service charges, parts, materials, or other approved amounts.
11. Service Area and Availability
Membership benefits are available only where Furniture-Rx or its service partners can reasonably provide service.
Some locations may not have in-home technician service. In those areas, we may offer remote support, referral assistance, parts guidance, mail-in options, or other alternatives where available.
We do not guarantee same-day service, specific appointment windows, specific technicians, or availability of parts. Service timing depends on your location, technician capacity, furniture type, parts availability, weather, safety conditions, and other factors.
12. Eligible Furniture
The membership may be used for many types of household furniture, including new, old, online, local, inherited, custom, marketplace, and previously owned items.
Eligible service categories may include sofas, chairs, sectionals, recliners, beds, dining furniture, tables, case goods, upholstery, leather, wood furniture, rugs, mattresses, lighting, and related household furniture items.
We may decline service for items that are unsafe, unsanitary, infested, structurally unstable, counterfeit, illegally modified, contaminated, inaccessible, outside our service scope, or not reasonably repairable.
13. Examples of Services We May Help Coordinate
Depending on availability and service area, Furniture-Rx may help coordinate:
- furniture touch-ups;
- minor repairs;
- scratch, nick, and scuff repair;
- upholstery repair;
- leather touch-up;
- wood repair and polishing;
- loose joint or wobbly leg repair;
- furniture assembly;
- bed frame assembly;
- room-to-room furniture moving;
- light furniture rearranging;
- repair of online purchases;
- repair of marketplace purchases;
- parts identification or sourcing;
- cleaning or spot-treatment guidance;
- manufacturer warranty documentation help;
- service contract claim documentation help; and
- furniture care recommendations.
The exact services available may change over time.
14. Parts and Materials
Parts and materials are not included in the membership fee unless we specifically say otherwise in writing.
You are responsible for the cost of parts, materials, shipping, special orders, and related charges. Some parts may be unavailable, discontinued, delayed, custom-made, or subject to manufacturer restrictions.
Special-order parts, custom materials, color-matched items, and ordered goods are final sale once ordered.
15. Manufacturer Warranties and Other Plans
Furniture-Rx may help you gather information, photos, receipts, and documentation for a manufacturer warranty or third-party service contract claim.
That help does not guarantee that the manufacturer, retailer, insurer, warranty company, or service contract provider will approve your claim.
Membership does not create coverage under any manufacturer warranty, retailer warranty, insurance policy, protection plan, or service contract.
16. Relationship to Furniture-Rx Protection Plans
Some Furniture-Rx protection plans may include Repair Safety Net membership benefits for a stated period.
If your protection claim is not covered, denied, excluded, outside the claim limit, or related to an item that is not covered, your membership may still give you access to member rates for customer-paid service.
You remain responsible for paying for any customer-paid service that is not covered under a separate protection plan.
17. Your Responsibilities
To use the membership, you agree to:
- provide accurate contact, address, furniture, and payment information;
- keep a valid card on file;
- provide safe access to the furniture and service area;
- secure pets and children during service visits;
- disclose known hazards, infestations, contamination, structural instability, or prior attempted repairs;
- review and approve service charges before work begins when approval is requested;
- pay all approved charges;
- be present or provide authorized access during service windows;
- follow reasonable care instructions; and
- treat Furniture-Rx staff, technicians, and partners respectfully.
We may refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe, access is not available, payment is not authorized, or service is outside the membership scope.
18. Independent Technicians and Service Partners
Furniture-Rx may provide service through employees, independent technicians, subcontractors, local partners, vendors, or third-party service providers.
We coordinate the service experience, but some work may be performed by independent providers. Availability, pricing, methods, and timing may vary by provider and location.
19. No Guarantee of Repair Outcome
Furniture repair can be affected by age, material, construction, prior damage, prior repair attempts, wear, discontinued parts, color variation, dye lots, leather or fabric type, wood finish, environmental conditions, and manufacturer design.
We will make reasonable efforts to coordinate appropriate service, but we do not guarantee that every item can be repaired, restored, matched, cleaned, stabilized, or returned to like-new condition.
20. Missed Appointments and No-Access Visits
If a technician arrives and cannot access the home, furniture, building, room, or service area, or if you miss a confirmed appointment, we may charge a missed appointment, trip, or diagnostic fee if disclosed before booking.
21. Changes to Membership Benefits
We may update membership benefits, rates, service areas, participating providers, discounts, and available services over time.
Changes will apply going forward and will not reduce any specific service already approved and paid for.
If we materially change the monthly membership price, we will provide notice before the new price applies, unless the change is caused by taxes, law, or third-party fees.
22. Promotions and Included Membership Periods
If you receive the membership free or at a discount through a Furniture-Rx protection plan, dealer offer, referral offer, or promotion, the offer has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Promotional memberships end when the stated promotional period ends, when the related protection plan ends, or as otherwise disclosed in the offer.
If automatic renewal after a promotional period applies, it will only apply if disclosed and accepted at checkout or in your account.
23. Account, Dashboard, and Communications
You may receive service updates, membership notices, appointment reminders, payment notices, and account communications by email, text message, phone, dashboard notification, or other contact method you provide.
Message and data rates may apply.
You are responsible for keeping your account information current.
24. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the membership, you agree that we may use your information to administer your membership, process payments, coordinate service, communicate with you, manage claims or service requests, improve the program, and comply with legal obligations.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Furniture-Rx is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-value damages.
Our responsibility for any membership-related issue will not exceed the membership fees you paid to us during the three months before the issue occurred, except where a different limit is required by law.
This limitation does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
26. Termination by Furniture-Rx
We may suspend or terminate your membership if you fail to pay, misuse the program, provide false information, abuse staff or technicians, create unsafe service conditions, violate these terms, or use the membership for commercial or resale purposes without our written approval.
27. Governing Terms
These Membership Terms apply only to the Furniture-Rx Repair Membership. Separate terms may apply to protection plans, care kits, website use, privacy, payment processing, promotions, referrals, and other products or services.
If there is a conflict between these Membership Terms and a separate written protection plan, the protection plan terms control for protection claims and covered losses. These Membership Terms control for membership access, discounted service, repair coordination, and customer-paid service.
